For $800.00 you can get a darn good turntable and that is all you will ever need. I think we all know what I'm talking about. Yeah, Technics 1200's or 1210's... The 1210m5g is a Great table..I don't use the pitch control, but still a great table with the Audio Technica A/T 120 E/T.. About 50 or so hours of break it..WOW!! Great sound.. Started out as an audiophile table, adopted by the DJs and now known as a DJ table... You also need decent speakers and a receiver with an analog direct mode..No digital analyzing...If you can find an old tube receiver that would be great. Oh and noobs..make sure you have a phono pre-amp..I'm no pro..I love vinyl and never stopped listening to it.

I think the high priced tables are for those with money to burn. It seems like the cats that have 20,000 turntables have bad taste anyway (even though I say that without knowing any). The most important part of appreciating music is the receiver and the best receiver of music is your self. So put on some music and EQ your soul, and rock the **** out!

Hell no you don’t need expensive equipment.
